Who You Are Dealing With
We're a garage door repair outfit based at 33301 9th Ave S in Federal Way, working on the doors that came with the houses in this part of King and Pierce County. Most of that stock went up between 1938 and 2003, with the bulk from the 1980s and 90s, so a lot of what we open up is torsion hardware and openers from that same window - not the newest gear, not the oldest either. When you call, you're talking to someone who works on these doors, not a call center reading a script and routing you somewhere else.
We don't have a company history to recite and we're not going to invent one. What we can tell you is what we do, where we do it, and how to get a hold of us, which is the point of this page.
How to Reach Us
Call 253-559-8683. That's the number that gets picked up, and it's the fastest way to get a job looked at, whether it's a spring that let go overnight or an opener that's started grinding. Tell us what the door is doing - or not doing - and roughly how old the setup is if you know it, and we can usually tell you over the phone whether it's a quick fix or something that needs a look in person.
Our address is 33301 9th Ave S, Federal Way, WA 98003, if you need it for records or want to know where the shop sits. We don't run a walk-in counter for parts; the work happens at your door, not ours. If you reach voicemail, leave the address and a callback number - we work off the phone, not email, for scheduling.
The Work We Take On
We work on residential garage doors across the Federal Way area and into the nearby communities - Lakeland North, Lakeland South, Milton, Algona, Pacific, Des Moines, Fife, Edgewood, and out to places like Bonney Lake, Covington, and Maple Valley depending on the job. That's a wide stretch of houses built mostly in the 1980s and 90s, and the failures we see match that era: torsion springs that have done their last cycle, worn rollers, openers with drive gears that have finally stripped.
We're in a cold-moderate climate band here, not desert, not deep freeze, so we don't see the extreme heat-cracking or hard-freeze lockups some regions deal with - but damp and temperature swings still take a toll on cable and hardware over a few decades. If your door is sticking, off-track, slow to respond to the opener, or the spring has snapped, that's the kind of call we want.
What We Do Not Take On
We don't do new home construction installs as a general contractor would, and we're not a parts counter - if you just need a roller or a remote and nothing else, that's not really a service call for us. We also won't try to talk you into replacing a door that just needs a spring and a service, and on the flip side, if a door is old enough and rusted enough that a repair would just be a stopgap, we'll say so instead of billing you twice.
We don't work outside the area we listed above - if you're well past Maple Valley or Vashon, it's worth calling to check before you wait on us. And we can't quote a firm price over the phone sight unseen; what we can do is give you a realistic range once we know what's actually wrong.
